Welcome to the Bothal Middle School website

Bothal Middle School is situated in a semi-rural area on the Western outskirts of Ashington. The school's extensive site and grounds being bordered by farmland.

We cater for children from Year 5 to Year 8 and our catchment area covers the villages of Pegswood, Linton and Ellington and the West end of Ashington and as a member of Ashington Learning Partnership Trust our children would normally transfer to Ashington Community High School at the age of 13+.

In our most recent Ofsted inspection, the following observations were noted:

"Care, guidance, and support for pupils are good and the curriculum meets the pupils' needs well"

"Parents and carers are successfully involved in decisions about their children's learning and well-being."

"The care, guidance and support provided by staff are good and a feature of the school's work".

We welcome visitors and will be pleased to arrange tours around the school.
